bits of a formulaic love story. It is a total cliche and filled with storybook romance, but the characters who are in love which makes it so interesting and I love how it tackles many multicultural topics like the taboo of divorce in an Indian household, arranged marriages, queerness , and love in general, in a very non preachy or dramatic way, its sensitive and intelligent. Exploring these questions of culture and social clashes, generational divides, makes the movie much more special. I am glad to see how people outside India loving this film so much and appreciating the queerness and hard truths. But i want this to be loved in india, especially by the indian parents. There will never be such movies made in bollywood, but i hope this reaches many Indian audiences.
