War was the last truly solid film in the YRF Spy Universe.
After that, the franchise kept recycling the same formula with basic mass entertainers. Alpha feels like a fresh restart.
The core idea isn’t new, but the execution has its moments. The action sequences are impressive, and Alia delivers a solid performance. Every major character gets a chance to shine.
The biggest surprise is the cameo. Just five minutes of screen time, yet the presence is unmissable and easily steals the show.
The film isn’t without flaws. The usual item song and a few cringey dialogues feel unnecessary. Still, after War, Alpha is one of the better films to come out of the YRF Spy Universe.
