Anaconda is not a remake and not a reboot.
It is a parody, and that is the first thing you should know before watching it.
If you are going in expecting a big scary snake movie then honestly you should skip this one. In a runtime of around 90 minutes the snake appears for barely 5 minutes. Yes, just 5 minutes.
The movie does have a few good jokes and some moments that will make you laugh. As a comedy it works here and there. But as a monster movie it completely fails. There is no tension no fear and no real payoff.
It is disappointing to see how Hollywood keeps handling nostalgic titles like this. Instead of respecting the legacy they turn them into jokes that do not land for everyone.
Watch it only if you want a light parody and do not care about monsters. Otherwise this one is easily skippable.
