characters than flashy twists. Babita, an underestimated police officer, returns to her in-laws’ town and gets pulled into the murder of her childhood friend. What begins as an investigation gradually becomes a personal journey as she starts questioning her marriage, her choices and even her confidence as a cop. Nimisha Sajayan is easily the best thing about the film. She keeps Babita’s character grounded and believable, especially in the quieter moments. The mystery itself is interesting, but I liked the emotional side of the story more than the actual investigation. The pacing is a little slow, and don’t expect a huge, twist-heavy thriller.
