Despite the responsibilities she takes on, she does not receive the appreciation she expects. This domestic dynamic remains an important part of the narrative and adds another dimension to Babita’s character while the murder investigation continues in parallel. One of the film’s interesting details is how everyone calls Babita Singh “Baby,” slowly reducing her identity to that name. The film also shows the patriarchy and body-shaming she faces in everyday life. Despite these struggles, her decision to investigate the case on her own shows her courage and strength. However, the investigation loses some of its impact in the final leg of the screenplay. The emotional angle behind the mystery does carry a certain weight, but when it is presented as a major revelation, it does not create the intended impact. The eventual attempt to bring the murder mystery to a conclusion also feels somewhat weakly written. As a result, while the film succeeds in building its central character and balancing the domestic and investigative layers for most of its runtime, the resolution prevents the investigation from reaching the same level of impact established earlier.
