As a 33-year-old unmarried guy, watching this movie actually gave me a positive
feeling about marriage life. The first half was really good and had a nice feel-good vibe.
Mamitha and Nivin’s performances were very good. Both of them acted naturally and casually without any overacting, and their chemistry felt nice.
But the second half was very average and a little slow. We already know that the hero and heroine are going to end up together, so the movie doesn’t really create any tension about whether they will get together or not. I think that was one of the biggest minus points.
The comedy worked in two or three scenes, but I wish there had been more good comedy throughout the movie. The second half could also have been written much better.
Overall, the first half was a very good feel-good experience, while the second half was very, very average. So overall, I would call it a decent above-average movie, but definitely not a great movie.
I’m still surprised that this movie collected more than ₹300 crore. Personally, I don’t think the movie is good enough to deserve a ₹300+ crore collection. I still wonder how the movie became such a huge hit with the Kerala audience.
