This time, NBK attempts to merge his high‑octane “mass hero” persona with a
socially conscious message about women’s empowerment. While the intent is commendable, the execution results in a loud, uneven narrative that struggles to balance lecture‑like messaging with action‑driven entertainment. The film seems torn between being a sensitive drama about a young woman overcoming her fears and a typical Balayya action spectacle, with jarring tonal shifts throughout.
Instead of allowing Sreelela’s character to grow through her own agency, the film has Kesari literally shouting “Be a Lioness” while taking on all the fighting himself. Bhagavanth Kesari tries to reframe Balayya’s usual god‑like persona into that of a mentor, but ultimately falls back into the same trap of bombastic dialogues and relentless violence.
It’s a film that talks extensively about girl power yet remains firmly anchored in the “Hero‑is‑Everything” formula. The result is a muddled mix of noble intentions and familiar excess, leaving the empowerment message overshadowed by the star’s larger‑than‑life presence.
