Kalaranjini and Sreeja Ravi are equally brilliant, their dynamic handled with dignity and subtle humor rather than falling into catty cliches. The film doubles as a gentle critique of Kerala’s obsession with reputation, highlighting how families suffer internally just to appear perfect in society’s eyes. The climax, however, feels rushed and overly sentimental, with the transition from sharp, witty humor in the first half to emotional empathy in the finale lacking smoothness. On the whole, Bharathanatyam is a clean, family‑friendly entertainer that relies on situational comedy and strong character performances rather than slapstick. It doesn’t aim for greatness, but it succeeds as a light‑hearted, relatable watch that leaves audiences smiling.
