MAN OF CINEMA
This film transcends the boundaries of "jazz" to reveal the true essence of
music itself. It is a cinematic and musical experience that truly stirs your soul.
The film captures a sense of realism and intensity that brings back the thrill of seeing a favorite artist perform live.
The psychological portrayal of the three protagonists is simply superb.
I found myself admiring Dai’s single-minded, almost naive dedication to jazz, and I couldn't hold back tears at the sight of Yukinori’s setbacks and his defiant spirit. Meanwhile, Tamada’s earnest, tireless effort was perfectly showcased , and I found myself rooting for them.
You don't need to be familiar with jazz. If you like music and inspiring real life characters and some spectacular writing and scenes, you will end up loving it.
