MAN OF CINEMA
Some might argue this film is anti buddhist, but according to me this is
exactly what buddha preached in order to attain enlightenment. The beautiful and spiritual journey of samsara, one who completely rises over all their senses, desires and emotions can only be a true disciple of buddha.
The film uses four different seasons as four different phases of human life, Spring as a cheerful, naive, mischievous childhood, Summer as temptations, urges, and being rebellious. Fall as emotions of falling for inner demons of jealousy, obsession, anger and hatred, and then comes winter which symbolises reconciliation, awakening, and re constitution after facing the consequences, and then again comes the Spring with the same circle of life but with a different human.
It shows Everything changes in the world, and yet something always remains the same about humans. It's truly hard to separate ourselves from our desires, emotions and needs. The film totally strips down your fake idea of spirituality you are wearing and shows how vulnerable humans are to their own emotions which they can't control. And nobody will ever have a enlightenment like buddha, because buddhism is not about one person, its not a religion, its a way of life, it teaches being kind to all living organisms, respecting, loving and caring all the humankind, preaches anti violence, and emphasises on mercy, second chance and rebuilding.
This film is an absolute treat for your senses and to your soul in a true manner.
