"I don’t belong in the world.
That’s what it is. Something separates me from other people." A indie low budget contemporary psychological horror film, which provides a surreal , haunting, eerie and unsettling mood, lots of creepiness, striking and disturbing visuals and brilliant reveal at the end, which just adds another level to the film. The movie really captures PTSD, existentialism and alienation very well, and how traumatic incidents affect and can haunt every aspect of your life. A remarkable performance by Candace Hilligoss who seems to transcend time and form to deliver a truly original performance that is way ahead of anything I can think of. Its an innovative and imaginative work of art that still resonates among indie lovers. A quiet nightmare that echoes long after the credits roll. Few films capture the feeling of being unstuck from the world quite like it. It was way ahead of its time. Lynchian before Lynch, and inspired by Bergman films, A landmark. No wonder it became a cult classic only after many years of its release.
