Elio (2025) is an animated sci-fi adventure film that tells a story about an
alien and a child. It explores parenting themes and how children think about personal space — something that becomes clear through Elio’s conversations with an alien named Glordon. Some kids or even adults who felt the same way in their own childhood may find this relatable. Throughout the movie, there’s a constant sense that Elio’s actions might end up going wrong — and they do. But when it comes time to fix things, everything feels a bit too easy and comfortable. Elio is a decent film, but I personally couldn’t connect with it much more than that.
