great action set pieces and outstanding Cinematography. Christian Zubert did everything correct except for the approach in the end. Yeah I understand. It's the consulate but still the ending could have been more engaging imo. The cinematography was top-notch. The action sequences were magnificently crafted. The camera movement in those action sequences were outstanding. The editing of this film was great. The score was lit. The sound design could have been better. Jeanne Goursaud acted tremendously. I already fell in love with her acting when I last saw her in Barbarians I and II series in Netflix. She was mind-blowing there and marvellous here. But was it enough for this film to be a masterpiece ? No. This film is too far from that notion. When the film went very intense and in an edge-of-the-seat type thriller atmosphere, the director introduced another character. Was it a wrong move ? No. Not at all. What was wrong is that they had a conversation that lead to 5 mins which grabbed all the tension and threw it out which was a very big negative impact in the film. And yeah even though the ending was good, i wish it could have been something more massy and goosebumps-inducing. Anyways, great addition to german cinema. You can check this film out if you want. You won't be disappointed.
