MAN OF CINEMA
I haven't seen many French horrors, this one too i wouldn't categorise as a
horror per say, but it surely is very disturbing, tragic, unsettling and horrifying to witness.
While watching this film i realised, we are also eyes without a face, when you are in dark theatre watching the movie, your eyes are lit up but you embody the face and character of the person you are witnessing on the screen, living his life and reimagining yourself as that person. It's creepy but it's fascinating.
It shows how much we crave to be perfect or try so hard to have something so far fetched that you forgot to embrace and accept yourself in whatever shape or form you are in. This film is not just cynical horror, it's a reality which many want to achieve.
