MAN OF CINEMA
" To make an omelette, First STEAL an egg from the chicken" In this world
whatever you create, is already something that is borrowed from someone else. You are surrounded by a hoard of counterfeits, copies, and fakes of all kinds of things. And these fakes generate more profit and value than the actual real one. Because every one wants that original to be theirs but you never know and can never tell what you have is really original or just a copy. This documentary essay, narrated, acted and directed by Orson Welles tells about the story of a man called "Elmyr de Hory" who understood the art and value behind the forgery of art. And he was the world's first biggest conman who fooled so many with this copies. The whole documentary is something of a reality bound in illusion, it's hard to tell what's fiction , what's fake until the very end. it's engaging , fun, and shocking how easily Welles sprouts up a movie out of nothing, like a magician pulling something out of thin air. After watching this one thing you will believe that, We all are the biggest Fakers/Forgers in this AI era, who just put a prompt and create something and label it as your own creation, which is actually borrowed idea from someone else. Hence Art is a lie, a lie that makes us see the real truth.
