Faces of Death is one of those rare cases where the remake actually feels
better than the original by a huge margin.
The movie fully commits to its brutal and disturbing tone, making it a much stronger horror experience overall. You genuinely need a strong stomach to sit through some of the graphic scenes because the violence and gore are intense.
What works here is that the film does not hold back. It knows exactly what kind of horror it wants to deliver and goes all in. For fans of slasher and graphic horror, this is definitely the kind of movie that will leave an impact.
If you are sensitive to gore, this is not for you at all. But hardcore horror lovers will probably have a great time with it.
