This was one fine, satirical, dark‐comical, and metaphorical film that truly
speaks in showing the wealth inequality and social status. The way this feels is so pure and especially, metaphorical.
From directorial standpoint, this is gorgeous. The cinematography is stunning. The composition is deeply nuanced with every little detail being well‐crafted.
The film feels like a poetry from Bong Joon Ho, which is a true example of neo-expressionism. He is one of the legendary directors who builds everything with perfection.
This uses different filmmaking techniques to help proceed the story, i.e, separating the rich from the poor with a vivid straight line, camera movements and shot size to emphasize the freedom comes with money and consistenly using certain way of representing things like stairs, lighting and movements.
The "don't cross the line" technique is very accurately used in the film. It maintains, proceeds and even break itself to show the audience what is really means. The scene just before the party depicts the best example of imposter syndrome –"Do I really fit in?" And that mirror shot is chef's kiss. The shot of Jessica smoking on toilet is just perfect.
Bong also storyboards everything and anything. What an incredible film to study cinema. Loved every thing about it.

A though provoking story about class divide and how we choose to deprive our
