MAN OF CINEMA
This film is not just a spy comedy movie.
It's an absurd , silly and goofy meta comedy/satire/parody on many mainstream stereotype elements we see in Bollywood cinema. From the masculine toxicity to Objectifying women, from gore violence to boring melodrama, from monotonous heroic spy movies to unnecessary romance plots. This film has all that too but in a mocking way, it uses those elements as reference from movies and brings absurd humour out of it.
Certainly there are some moments where the comedy feels very heavy and unfunny and idiotic but it was deliberate. Because the movie and the characters do not take themselves seriously, all the characters are stupid and whacky, and that's where it can become its plus point or negative point. It depends on the audience how they take this kind of humour, it becomes very subjective.
Bollywood is very new to this kind of comedy genre. The film doesn’t try to be smart comedy, it just wants to make you laugh and it succeeds most of the time by being corny and cringe.
It's an unhinged comic trip which has hilarious dialogues, unintentional one liners, and the situations which makes you feel like "whats the fuck is happening?". If you are thinking it will be delly belly 2.0, you will surely be disappointed. Don't go with any expectations, it will surely give you a great time. Amir Khan's cameo in the beginning was just an absolute banger, i really wanted him more in this movie.

Too absurd that its not funny.
Language barrier gags eventually becomes tiring. Kept expecting it to finally pay-off, but it never does. Brilliant characters but poor writing.

#HappyPatel: #KhatarnakJasoos is far from a good comedy; it's mediocre.
