returns to the familiar safe territory of power pandi and have to say does a decent job as actor director . This whole angle of coming back to your roots and celebrating the goodness of his parents had a nice angle to it . The portions once he comes back where he reminisces everything bout his childhood and taking his mother around the shop were truly moving and Rajkiran and Geetha kailasam playing the parents just ace these portions and D plays along very nicely and by the end of first half you sort of think that all the conflicts are done and dusted . Arun Vijay comes in and fights over some left over beef but you realise there is a lot of misplaced anger on him never been able to take over his father’s empire but we don’t get enough of this and after a point his anger kinda becomes tiring and this is where the film struggles post intervention running on a loop. Parthiban gets his whistle worthy moment but felt samudrakani was just one note and doesn’t make any difference to the story even if his character is completely taken off . Dhanush practises ahimsa but then hits a ton of folks in the end which was confusing .Even ilavarasu character is underwritten and underutilised . But you kinda look over these pitfalls as there is a sense of goodness all over the film.
