But the representation is not sensationalised, the story is more character driven and its their personal journey and struggle that will move you emotionally. The film showcases experiences of Afghan refugees in the land where they believe iranian as their brothers, but it's not all simple and true, the price they had to pay over generations was worth at thw end? It totally offers a perspective of Iran that we haven't seen in iranian movies mostly. Land of Brothers is a still, cold, and bleak film, which shows without building tolerance , surviving nature and resilience amidst unknown circumstances one cannot exist as a refugee in strangers land. Its a promising directorial debut for Amirfazli.
