a serious note the movie does a good job of maintaining tension throughout. The atmosphere is strong and there is a constant sense of unease. That said the pacing is extremely slow. If you have seen Longlegs you already know the kind of patience this film demands.
Compared to Perkins previous work this one is better than The Monkey but still below Longlegs. It has interesting ideas and moments but it never fully reaches masterpiece level. Some viewers might find it too slow while others may enjoy the mood and symbolism.
Overall Keeper is a decent watch for fans of slow burn psychological horror but it is not something groundbreaking.
