Neighborhood Watch

At just 1 hour 33 minutes, it’s quite a good watch. I went in expecting some mind-blowing twists and turns, but there were only a few. Still, the film manages to entertain us well. It’s built around a missing-girl premise, but told from the perspective of a man who is mentally unstable. Believing him is almost impossible, because his past trauma keeps haunting him and causing hallucinations. So the question naturally arises: would you trust someone like that? This is exactly where the movie plays its cards. Helping in the search for the missing girl is an elderly, retired security guard. The way these two improvise and pretend to be detectives to reach the girl, and the dangers they face along the way, is fun to watch. Meanwhile, the police are also looking for them. Amidst the tension and thrill, you also get bits of light-hearted humor. Overall, Neighborhood Watch is a good, enjoyable film.
