MAN OF CINEMA
Nino provides a different perspective towards seeing challenges and choices of
our life. It shows life can be kick started again like you are new born when you face life and death situations. Instead of losing hope and breaking down.
We see Nino in his most fragile state, he is not able to develop any kind of emotion, not even able to share the news with his loved ones. This narrative makes It easy to empathize with Nino. As his diagnosis is revealed to him, it’s as if his world is being turned upside down without a care in the world. The film goes a long way in capturing the feelings of reigniting hope, desire and happiness while feeling down, shattered and exhausted by the cruel fate. He seems crippled by the inability to choose what comes next. He is tasked with a single job for the sake of his future self, but can’t bring himself to complete for some reason until he finds a real connection with a childhood girl.
Nino is all about how you look forward in life in the challenging times, and the little moments in life we experience in amidst times of distress. It's a very subtle portrait of a vulnerable life, filled with possibilities of changes which are sometimes in your hand and sometimes in the hands of people you have around you. But for me the movie did not make a great impact on me, because this trope has been seen before in many movies, one of them i really like is "Cleo from 5 to 7". But here in nino i wanted to experience something fresh and unexpected.
