MAN OF CINEMA
A gut wrenching , raw and heartbreaking portrait of life and human condition
under Oppression, caste discrimination and poverty. Brilliantly depicts the harsh realities of rural poverty.
A story of a desperate couple who fled from oppression for a better life faces constant struggle, discrimination and finally a slice of hope which comes at greater survival struggle with such a vile cast discrimination and no value of human life.
I love how the film is straight up raw and authentic interns of presentation of all these elements mentioned above. The misery, the hopelessness you can feel visually through the expressions of actors. Both Naseeruddin Shah and Shana Azmi gave powerful performances.
The climax of the movie is so tense , inhumane , fucking heartbreaking to witness. I am just in shock at how they pulled this off, both as actors and director with his execution.
