MAN OF CINEMA
A never-ending, unbreakable chain of generational oppression, violence, and
discrimination which results in rebellious movement by indigenous people of Palestine which they might have never thought that they have to keep fighting for almost another century. This was just the beginning of suffering and pain that they have to endure for generations to come and mould into courage to fight against the injustice.
Palestine 36 is so important politically right now because they show how colonialism destroyed a peaceful country, how Zionism sprouted with the help of colonial system and from where this genocidal ideology comes. Everything you can understand with a great detailed engaging drama.
The narrative does not spreads the propaganda or takes side, it focuses on people and everyday life, it just shows how events unfolded one after the other, and the consequences people had to bear, and the resistance that followed.
The excellent cast delivers beautifully textured performances that sharply depict each person's struggle and the revolt against injustice. Its a deeply human story told with a heavy but resilient heart.
You can feel the scale of the production and the detailing and research it had to showcase such compelling historic drama with great sensitivity and honesty.
Also the biggest irony here is, its a BBC Film, and in the movie we Palestine revolt against British army.
