A planned social gathering is held to commemorate Divakar Barve for the award he receive pertaining his contributions to Indian Arts and films. The social event is greeted by some important public personalities of the community all expect Amrit; an activist. But the atmosphere of the event will come to a drastic change upon the arrival of Avinash.

There was a time when parallel hindi films were a medium for social, political
and artistic discourse without any Censorship or hesitation. Where the social and personal complexity of each character and their background and thought process was so very well presented with such nuance. And the brilliant screenplay and dialogues engage viewers and create an atmosphere for intellectual reasoning and debate.
But now one could be threatened, suppressed, censored or even worse lynched for bringing up such topics and critique under today's regime. A true masterpiece which is very under appreciated.
It is one of those films which highlights the power of cinema or art in general, how the art can be seen as a social mirror and its power to transform society through storytelling. How it is the artist's responsibility to voice his protest and revolt against the corrupt system and its audience responsibility to spread it and support it.
