MAN OF CINEMA
In our lives we do so many things like our traditions, customs and many other
things. All without proper understanding or purpose of it, or the meaning behind it or where it came from.
We do it just because our ancestors/parents told it so, and those customs and rituals changes as generation changes and they add their own version to it according to their liking and comfort.
I feel this movie was satire on it, a couple who went on a quest to understand the roots, meaning of an unknown song, and wherever they went, each person gave them their own version imposed with their belief system on it.
Even at the end when they reached the right place, we lacked the ability to understand the meaning of it.
I liked the film's sarcastic tone and semi-documentary style narrative. Almost mocking the stupidity and naivenes of society. It could have been much more impactful, bold and brutal with its opinion. But it chooses to be cryptic and vague at times.
