NAVAS ATHANIKKAL
PERUMANI
"Perumani" is a charming, light-hearted film directed by Maju.
The story is a beautiful tale of a village that is set to believe in their own beliefs and misbeliefs. The film's satire on societal superstitions gives the narrative its weight.
One of the film's strongest points is its unique and aesthetic narrative style. The visually pleasing cinematography, with its beautiful colour palette, enhances the film's mood. Gopi Sundar's music is also nice.
The performances by the cast are commendable. Vinay Forrt delivers a superb performance as Nassar, and Navas Vallikkunnu, Lukman Avaran, Sunny Wayne, and Deepa Thomas also provide solid performances, as do the other supporting actors.
Overall, "Perumani" is a small, fun, and enjoyable film. It's a worthy watch.
