Grief doesn't come seeing age, everyone deals with grief differently in their
own way. Here also we see little Nelly who has lost her grandmother and is getting more distant from her mother. and that's when a mysterious world embraces nelly where she finds comfort and love in the most innocent and loving way which helps her move on.
Its very meditative, tender and comforting film that will make you feel emotionally vulnerable. It will take you into a world where parents are just children and your friend, who understands you like you understand them, that tenderness just melts you. There are some really hard adult themes like grief, sadness, isolation, parent child relationship, loss of hope and cynicism, all this told in an innocent and graceful yet nuanced way with interaction between kids.
I also liked the Cinematography of the movie, very earthly and warm colors with atmospheric setting filled with vast emptiness around singular characters in a frame. A very masterfully crafted movie.
