whose relationship is slowly falling apart. The conflicts between them eventually lead to betrayal, but the reason behind everything is far more haunting and disturbing than it initially seems. I found this film extremely confusing, which made me feel disconnected from it emotionally. I even dozed off once or twice while watching it. The film explores themes of possessiveness, obsession, infidelity, and psychological breakdown. Honestly, I could not fully understand what the film was trying to say. Even then, it remains a highly popular cult classic that set a benchmark for many horror films that came after it. It showed the world that horror can be created not just through scares, but through emotion, trauma, and pure madness. Isabelle Adjani delivers one of the greatest performances I have ever seen. The intensity and emotional chaos she brings to the role feel impossible to surpass. Every scene with her feels raw, terrifying, and unforgettable. Possession simply was not a film made for me. I can understand why people consider it great, but I personally could not fully connect with its vision and symbolism.
