Jithu Satheesan Mangalathu transports you to well written and well made world, with convincing leads including the likes of Askar Ali and Vineeth Kumar.
The film does a great job in helping connect one with the location, cast and the symbol it carries.
The forest in which the film takes place itself acts as a character itself, adding in lots of depth.
The earmarking of rules to be followed whilst maintaining sanity in the forest adds even more depth to the storytelling.
The screenplay is a job well done, having the element of surprise while appropriately investing time in character growth. That's why you're able to connect and feel the sorrows and woes.
The historical references add weight and the mythical aspects add fear, balancing the film's plot blissfully.
The film carries a quaint feeling with great music, reminiscent to the tunes of Kishkindha Kaandam.
While it tends to spoon feed information at times, and tends to delve very deep into the chaotic nature, that isn't a reason that pulls down the film.
Excited to see Anand's character arc grow in the following parts.
Side note: How/Why does Anand's daughter have an iPhone from this time period? (that's a small logical mistake, but can be easily overlooked).
