Sardar 2

Suryah and director PS Mithran and karthi in interviews. But honestly, the movie is nowhere near that hype. The entire movie feels like one long chase. There is almost no breathing space, and because of that, watching the movie became a headache. The three-hour runtime made it even more difficult to sit through. The biggest problem is the screenplay. They have clearly spent a lot of money on the movie, and the making looks grand. But because of the poor screenplay, all that effort feels wasted. The background score was also very poor and irritating. The editing, writing and acting didn’t work for me either. The only real positive for me was the grand making and production value. There was one comedy portion near the climax involving Yogi Babu and Nizhalgal Ravi that was somewhat enjoyable. I laughed at a couple of scenes, but that’s pretty much it. Overall, Sardar 2 is a total waste of an opportunity. It had a lot of potential, a big budget and plenty of hype, but the poor screenplay ruined everything. Definitely a disappointing and irritating three-hour experience.
