In the vast endless Dessert.. you look up during the day you see the limitless blue sky, and the punishing Sun, at night all you see are Stars starring down at you, if you look across you just see the arid nothingness of sand, and ONLY then you're compelled to look within, To really Dig Deep and that's precisely when LIFE asks you.. Who are you? What are you Made of? Sirat means the path, when a father and his son run helter skelter desperately looking for a family member who went missing, they run into a rag tag bunch of ravers who eventually become one dysfunctional Family. The movie is a misdirection on how we more often than not judge a book by its cover. But every person worth his salt, good, bad, young, old, reckless, Regardless of their gender or handicap always has a story behind who they used to be. I wish I watched this in the theatres with good sound.. some of the imagery just sticks with you! Sirat is about wounded people in a volatile place, who still believe in showing up for each other, in a place when all hope has abandoned you. It's an existential movie with thumping Transcendental Music that has something very Metaphysical to say..
