" Trauma Takes One Day, But Healing can take a lifetime"
Sorry, Baby is Eva
Victor's intimate, delicate and meditative exploration of the process of healing and coming to terms from past traumas.
And that healing process is not easy, sometimes you might feel you are over it and finally able to feel something positive, but one little memory or thing can trigger that trauma and you will be back to square one.
Eva shows this journey through different years, different elements which helps Agnes to heal from that awful trauma. You never know what helps you in that and breaks you, it can be few moments spent with your loved ones, it can be living with a cat, or eating a damn good sandwich on a tough day, can make a day better. There are many such things which make this movie a refreshing, gentle heartwarming and tender take on grappling with pain and trauma.
I loved the Deadpan humour it has, and some great wits in the character writing. I love how it finds some humor in a very serious situation. Which makes the movie much enjoyable while it has very delicate matters on hand.
I like that the film doesn't take a shocking and dramatic route regarding the matter, its not preachy too. It's just a very nuanced, moving and sensitive portrait of dealing with it. And i think many will feel relatable to that and love it even more.
It perfectly shows dealing with trauma is a test of endurance to sit and hold space for yourself. The ripple effect of traumatic experiences can hit you anytime. It’s sad and real. There is no resolution, closure, justice, or peace. It's a Lingering trauma. Some people don’t bounce back from it, and sometimes when you do, you hope that this phase never move away.

Sometimes watching a movie can feel like reading someone's diary entey.
I know it's horrific and I also know it's unfair and conflicting BUT I'd rather not dwell upon it and make
