Despite the plot holes, despite some questionable acting and dialogue writing,
the show and it's characters have been consistently made the average viewer invest in their motives, emotions and relationships. While the lead up to Finale has been a little rocky, I love the Finale itself with all my heart, primarily because of the priority given to the emotions rather than just focusing on the action the whole time. The end of season 5 vol 1 is still the peak of this show, but what followed made sense because of the breadth of characters the makers are dealing with.
Overall, this show has to be studied just to understand how to handle an ensemble cast masterfully, how to create moments that are iconic, and how to give importance to emotions and details even in a huge mainstream sci-fi action drama.
