Thala Buddy
Watched this at JFF, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable ride.
The movie starts as a light comedy, slowly moves into drama, and then becomes emotional, blending multiple genres smoothly. It’s one of those films that shifts tones naturally without feeling forced.
The performances are top notch, and the comedy lands perfectly in most places. There are many genuinely funny moments, and the emotional scenes hit well too. The ending is especially satisfying and leaves you with a good feeling.
The only downside is the runtime. At around 140 minutes, it does feel a bit long, and some viewers might find it slow in parts. Because of that, it may not work for everyone.
Still, it’s a solid romantic comedy drama and a good watch if you enjoy character driven stories.
