MAN OF CINEMA
One of the most important films ever made in the history of cinema.
A film which showcases the power of revolution and resilience against the oppressors and colonisers. With the current geo-political environment this film is more relevant than ever. It remains as one of the brilliant portraits on the human cost because of political power and ego struggle.
Another brilliant aspect of this film is its neorealist style, films are shot in real locations where war took place, uses mostly non professional actors and one who lived through the war, and the Cinematography is very documentary style, all which makes it very authentic, intriguing and deeply effective. It invokes the emotions of anger, sadness and inspires to stand against the occupation no matter how strong they are. Its so ironic that i am watching this one the day when fascist powers like Israel and USA attacked Iran, and committed genocide in Gaza and continue to occupy the land of Palestine. I hope the world remains resilient and stands up against these evil powers one day.
