The superhero/Vigilante concept, he doesn't have any tie up with Alina or any
blood relation, he just knows the girl from the diner he goes at night. Had sensed that she was in deep trouble and went all the way to help her.
And this he has done after living an ordinary life for a long time. This was broken for Alina and now this has become a purpose which justifies the quote displayed at the beginning of the movie.
