Naomi Watts and the Great Dane's chemistry grows on you as the movie progresses with drama, but still you might feel it's not perfect chemistry and somewhere something is lacking. The movie has its own flaws, like it might feel over stretched at times and some unnecessary bits interrupt the flow.
Still its fresh take on grief, closure, and companionship where your pet and you deal with together and comes to terms with your life and also provides gentle laughs and comforting moments to love. I really loved the dog, he was so good. Hope he is not depressed in real life too.
