After the Trojan War, Odysseus faces a dangerous voyage back to Ithaca, meeting creatures like the Cyclops Polyphemus, Sirens, and Calypso along the way.

The mammoth of a story told with the human angle intact.
The interference of god showing its wrath on humans feels so over the top for humans that the language/dialect that is opted by nolan doesn't really feel out of place mostly. The never ending journey of human back to its roots and whatever the feeling of achievement or glory that he has attained is merely a life changing experience with the taste of both full of life & getting closer to death that's all and so when the dawn comes every sin will be forgotten. I have no idea about the glory of homer's writing and if this movie justifies his writings or not but this movie alone has a lot to provide for humans if we can really gather some of it together. I always thought why people really celebrated the Trojan horse story, as i thought it as one of the biggest trick to betray someone who have accepted your gift as your generosity and kindness but what happens later shows the true nature of human on the platter and here nolan, in whatever capacity he addresses it, is what makes me feel satisfied and in the end, when that mammoth horse structure gets burnt and is ready to fall, becomes the moment for me. The situations are so crazy that it really feels like the times with "apparent magic" where some give the impression of being clearly portrayed while some of them look vague and not clearly thought of. The scene when the dead rises and specifically Sinon speaks with Odysseus and tells him about the dead world and gives the route for his journey back to Ithaca, it is so impactful, courageous for me and gives the impression of a story like. The scenes with Calypso could also show the intense level of pain, loss, trauma and the struggle to reclaim lost memories so that he could stop controlling and surrender to take that leap of faith. In the end where Odysseus speaks with Penelope disguised as a beggar while picturing Athena in his mind and remembering all the wrong doings of his life, the saying that why doesn't god speak the way we understand comes a full circle for me in that moment because of that realisation. As Athena's structure was demolished with a strike along with a priestess being killed inside their abode makes him face it & realise that after all that war, betrayal and vengeance he could never make him bring back that state for which he is craving so much to return home which he had thought of before leaving for troy

I hope homer is happy with this film adaptation.
I consider as after Interstellar release , Odyssey is best work of Christopher Nolan. After lots of Unwanted hate and trolls
