A great story about how one of the greatest films in history was made! I had
been holding off watching The Offer for the longest time. But when i started this last week, i couldnt help binge it. I am not one of those Godfather fans who will think less of you if you havent seen the movie nor do i think it is the best movie of all time. But after watching The Offer, i think it becomes even clear as to why the movie has stood the test of time, cause it is the hurdles that the movie has seen to get made. More so the people who were involved in the making of this classic. Almost all of them have made personal family sacrifices at the cost of the movie cause the movie and the work they did was more important to them than anything else in the world. The Offer is about a whole bunch of misfits who came together to make something they all deeply, emotionally with all their heart and soul believed in. They were all Dreamers! There are two episode in the series called 'Mr.Producer' and 'It is Who We Are' - and that were deeply personal to me and hit home hard. The trials that a person involved in the arts goes through to see what they believe in come to life is a deeply personal journey. It is their baby. It goes beyond data, beyond the economics of it all. It is unfunny how many of the problem the movie faced 55 years back still happens to many movies today; - Sentiments of a certain group of people getting hurt - Will people watch a long movie cause the theatre can only run 3 shows a day - An unknown actor has no market Whether you have seen The Godfather or havent seen it - it doesnt matter. The Offer is something you will love. A modern tale about a classic movie!
