Paradise is where mental masala madness meets oppression.
A film that uses its world-building to tell a story about society, casteism, the upper class, power, and the politics that surround all of it. The rage. The rampage. The madness. The film has some stunning visuals, great cinematography, strong character arcs, metaphors, some transitions that absolutely worked, and a few clever edits that genuinely elevated the experience. And honestly, all the internet hate going around? I don’t care. This film worked really well for me. This is a mad, mad concept. Not every film has to be a template-perfect entertainer or a straightforward potboiler. Sometimes a film can just be a fucking film. Is it illogical at times? Absolutely. There were definitely moments that didn’t work for me. But honestly, overall, it worked. I genuinely felt Vikram Jugal could have been used much better. There’s so much potential there that I wanted the film to explore further. And Anirudh doing what Anirudh does best — that mental mass madness in the interval, that absolute banger of a sequence and score… still lingering in my head. Paradise is a hot, chaotic, madness-fuelled mountain ride. Could it have reached an even bigger pinnacle? Definitely. But honestly? It still served me. And Nani as Jadal? An absolute treat to watch.
