MAN OF CINEMA
When you are adapting a classic, there has to be some value and freshness to
it, a different approach to tell the story. But this one felt like a very generic action flick to me. There are some confused plot points & story holes as the film wears on, but the most disappointing aspect is just how anonymous the direction is. It has one of the worst third acts I've ever seen outside of, like, a Marvel film.
Glen Powell as an actor never really left an impression on me, even his last two films twisters and Hitman, i did not like his performance. Very monotonous and boxed actor. He really needs to explore other characters and genres.
This is the second Stephen King adaptation which i did not like, last was "The long walk".
Hollywood keeps pumping out lifeless reboots, and i just hate it.
