I also used Facebook from 2014 to 2019.
In 2019, my Facebook was hacked, and after that, I stopped using it. At that time, using Facebook, flexing one's likes and photos in one's circles or groups, made that person cool. In its early days, there was nothing better, more amazing, or more addictive than Facebook.
The Social Network (2010) is a drama film inspired by Mark Zuckerberg's life, focusing on how he created Facebook and what happened to him afterward. The film's non-linear storytelling makes it interesting; through conversations in legal cases, we learn what happened, what is happening, and what is going to happen in the story.
The film's opening scene is so strong and conversation-based, yet it shows Mark Zuckerberg's intellectuality, sharpness, insecurity, and frustration. What I'm trying to say is that many things will be presented to you through conversations in the film. The film also has an emotional core, such as friendship, isolation, and differences, conflict, allegations, and controversy, which the film portrays well. When there is a disagreement between friends, the visuals give a cold feel to that atmosphere through lighting. And what can I say about David Fincher's craft? Top-notch performance. A teenage boy broke up with his girlfriend and built a billion-dollar company. The film's core theme is psychological, personal, and emotional; the person who connected people on one platform eventually became alone himself. For me, The Social Network is a masterpiece from the GOAT Director, the Master of Masterpieces; I respect him as such. A David Fincher Film.
