They Will Kill You

A wild ride. After a long time watching a slasher movie. The plot is similar to many films. A girl trapped in a cult of rich people. She not only wants to survive, but also to save her younger sister from them. Bloodshed horror thriller with the flavours of humour- an apologetic combination. Action sequences and the cinematography are the pillars of the film. Kudos to the music department. It elevates every scene, especially the fire fight scene. Zazie Beetz, the protagonist did a great job. She's so fooking bad ass. The emotional portions didn't fully work. Could've been written better. I think, while focusing more on action and blood, they slightly slip from the core emotion. Missed in detailing the cult and the motel they're staying at. Should've explored more in that area. In one scene, they're talking about a floor. Then just moved like they never existed. Are there any other floors like this, and how's it all started, how's the end.. they left the film without any proper clarification. But still, this became one of my best slasher films. Superbly enjoyed. Recommended.
