The film has similarities with a recent Tamil blockbuster, and if you compare both, the Tamil film is clearly the winner.
Thudakkam still has its good points. It’s well shot, has a decent villain, an interesting plot point, and a decent performance from Vismaya. She shines in the action sequences, but when it comes to emotional scenes, she is still struggling to deliver. The script also fails at certain stages, especially in the second half.
Mohanlal’s cameo felt cringey. It clearly feels like it was added for theatre pull and doesn’t really fit into the narrative.
