be loved by different sections of the audience. A very formulated film which packs everything which mohanlal fans and general audience will love. The first one hour or so the movie has very fun vibes, showcases Benz's relationship with his family and friends and we understand his obsession for his car. Then we see the first curveball, sudden shift in genre and the movie becomes a crime thriller, from here the movie really picks up its pace and gets very interesting and hooks the audience. The last 40 minutes is proper fan service, a massy segment where mohanlal takes revenge in his own flamboyance and style and comes out as a righteous man and still surrendered to law. An ideal man! I was really loving the movie until it hit the mass elements. From there i knew what was going to happen eventually and the movie buildup towards the ending became very predictable. I Wish there was something new but a brilliant buildup seems wasted for fan service. But i get that, it's essential for commercial movies. I loved previous movies of Tharun Moorthy, operation java, saudi vellakka. I liked his work in this one too. Creates a very atmospheric thrilling indulging in many outer elements which adds more suspense and mood, like the car , landslide, festival, rain, i love how he used all this at each stage. Thudarum offers nothing refreshing or unique from what we have seen before, but still creates enough curiosity and holds the audience guessing to a certain point which makes it intriguing and well made crime drama.
