Time to Love

Loving, worshiping and obsessing over the image of a woman, is so different and scary than loving that person in real life which will involve affection, emotional support, commitment and longing for that person. Halil who was infatuated with a beautiful portrait of a woman over a year, his dream suddenly breaks when he sees that woman in front of his eyes. And what follows is the story of conflicting forces of love. Halil's love is too delicate, imaginative and has a fear of loss or worse, it makes him distance himself from her love. While Meral, there is the force of desire, and absolute atonement to his mystic form of love which she never experienced. As a plot, it's very melodramatic in nature, which i didn't like much. But telling the story through poetic symbolism and brilliant performances over shadows the demerit. The overall effect of the film on me is impressive. The cinematography is so beautiful, each scene is captured in such a mesmerizing way, it enhances this dramatic love story.
