It's like good stock music.
It's good, but it's just stock music. It can never be Beethoven. But the good part is it doesn't try to be. Big plus: it's an easy watch, no big conflict or stress.. just an easy fun watch with some jokes and pay-offs landing. Good emotions. Big gripe: There is a very specific way we Indians speak. I can applaud them on finding good Indian actors for the main cast, but the lines are written in a very western way. Especially when Samir's parents are speaking.. it feels artificial most of the time. Ofc it's a delight to watch Mr.Shah in anything, but again, his lines are a little too much sometimes. I get the whimsical side of the character, but sometimes it gets a little annoying. Finally the second best performance of the movie is actually by Jess Weixler who plays Carrie.
