MAN OF CINEMA
An evil that lurks at night disguised as messenger of god.
This film is a very disturbing take on good and evil, love and hate. The way this thriller drama unfolds as horror/nightmare for every child is commendable, film's background score and eerie cinematography makes the movie a classic tale of thriller ever told. Even though the ending is little less effective than the whole film, the movie contains some really dark elements which i think was not considered to be shown in the movies, hence the movie was badly criticised when it was released. This is one of those serial killer films where the killer is a charming monster which can get inside your head and manipulate you, before you even realise. James Mitchum was so mesmerizing & menacing throughout this film. Its unique blend of Noir and american gothic. Also to note that the film was set in the great depression era where people were sick of not enough money and lack of happiness, those poor little children who didn't escape in the real world find divine hope here at the end of the film.
